Discovered this blog article today, and it really hits on why putting your book up for free can really be a bad thing. In truth, I think there’s a lot of merit to this logic, because I’ll definitely read something I buy but won’t always read something that I’ve gotten for free (the exception? when authors have a freebie to generate interest in their other books).
