Barbara, it was really about getting into the mindset of the reader. What readers expect, and how authors often don’t “get it right”. First and foremost, I remember the post informing me that social media should be social, that it’s most important to engage readers (instead of authors, where we are most comfortable) and that readers, once they know you, can often become voracious fans. I wish I could remember what blog/post it was, but I discovered it through an author marketing course that led me down a rabbit hole when I started clicking blog link after blog link after blog link… LOL

Will you tell us more about the post that inspired you? I can’t imagine being inspired by a marketing post, so I’m very curious!!
