Welcome

Hello, and welcome!

I’m Terri Herman-Ponce and and I have a confession to make. I write the Past Life Series and I adore fiction that captures my attention from page one and lingers long after I’ve read The End. I’m thrilled by suspense and intrigue, and I’m all about mysterious, otherworldly, and unusual stories. I totally dig a novel that grabs me by the throat, and I’m a sucker for an edgy situation that tests the limits of characters I love to love and characters I love to hate.

More than that, I’m totally into twists and turns. Can’t live without them in my reading, and can’t even conceive of writing a story that excludes them.

So, if you’ve stumbled onto my website (or found me or the Past Life Series on purpose), you should know this:

  • I’m into the paranormal, but not vampires or werewolves or things that go bump in the night
  • I’m into time travel, but not about characters conveniently stepping through a portal that lands them someplace in the past
  • I’m into reincarnation and second chances and alternate history, but not without mayhem and angst and lots and lots of suspense

If I’ve done my storytelling job, I’ll take you on a ride that’ll surprise you and shock you and make you think twice about what you think is real.

So peck around the website, which is packed with book teasers and character interviews and even a free download, and lots of behind the scenes stories that showcase what’s on my mind on any particular day.

And while you do that, I’ll keep writing…

I am beyond…way, way, way beyond, thrilled to have stumbled here! I’ve been working on my own novel idea involving reincarnation, Vikings, not Egyptians, and have struggled with finding authentic plot devices in which to have my characters learn of their past lives. My forehead may have a permanent red mark from slapping it so often! I think I’m going to set the writing aside and spend today’s writing time enjoying your story instead, ah, joy, (The opening you shared really geeked me up!) and maybe feel some inspiration along the way.

Terri – your books are such an interesting twist on the reincarnated soul-mates theme. I love how the relationship evolves from life-to-life. So many reincarnated lovers in books are just instantly mated and perfect for each other. You make sure their baggage comes with them. I love that you make them work for it!

I was thrilled to see you published. I always knew you could do it. We’re still in AZ–and all the boys are getting bigger(I’m only taller than half of them now, and my days are numbered with them, too, I think). I’m so happy for you! Way to go!

I hear you. Mine’s bigger than me and he’s a Senior. Happy and sad to see at the same time. And thanks for the good wishes. Hopefully this leads somewhere because I’m determined to make this my living when I grow up.

The picture you chose above works so well with this theme. There’s that foggy, white backdrop behind the bridge and no promises that there’s solid footing on the other side. There might just be a boat ferrying souls across the river Styx instead of a seductiive fragrance to keep a love vibrant and passionate for a millenia. These are what our dreams are made of. What we share with our writing is truly a gift to be discovered, contemplated, explored, and cherished if we’ve done our best. Congratulations on your blossoming career as a dream weaver and heart singer. A noble pursuit, a deep calling, and a cause for celebration.

Beautiful picture, Terri. I’m with you. As a matter of fact, I’ve had two a past-life regression sessions that were so interesting. Your banner is the perfect place to visualize a trip back.
I don’t mean to plug my book, but I wrote about past lives in Love of Her Lives available Aug. 6th. Looking forward to reading your books!
